Sony Online Entertainment is now putting out a new MMO called H1Z1 that's an open world survival game... with zombies. Perhaps not the most original concept, but is it any good?
H1Z1 is a new MMORPG that was just announced this April. As so many of these open world survival zombie apocalypse games are out there, many people just write this off as another copy of DayZ. But is it really? From the videos and info that the developers have released, you wander around and scavenge and hunt for resources, crafting tools and shelters. Seems pretty much the same as the others.
However, H1Z1 does get it boast a few differences. Firstly is the massive open world, with a thousand players on one server. Another difference is that H1Z1 doesn't aim to have a few players grouping up together and fighting similarly smaller groups, but instead have a mass of players grouping up in a town and fighting other towns, which is a change from games like DayZ and Rust. But is this a big enough difference to make it a good enough game to buy?
We'll have to wait for more information. Currently, the game has no set release date and there is planned support for only PlayStation 4 and Windows.
