The award winning mod DayZ has been turned into an actual game that is currently in alpha stage testing and is available for purchase and testing on Steam.
Few haven't heard of the mod DayZ, a mod for Arma II, which created a unique gameplay experience in which you had to fight and survive against both zombies, other players, and the harsh necessities of the world. It almost created a whole new genre of survival games, including the increasingly popular alpha game, Rust.
Now, DayZ is becoming an entire game, itself, instead of just being a mod. The creator of the mod, Dean Hall, joined the creators of Arma II, Bohemia Interactive, to make an entire game out of DayZ. However, will Bohemia Interactive be able to make DayZ so much better of a game to make people want to go out and buy it, instead of just playing the free mod?
The game is currently available for alpha testing on Steam for $29.99.
